With over 25 years of experience, Ronnie is a seasoned professional who’s successfully held Senior-level Management positions in business verticals including: marketing services, digital media and Internet-related marketing. His core areas of expertise include: executive-level management, employee recruitment & motivation, sales & revenue generation, client retention, marketing and P&L management.
Ronnie has been involved with The NLP Group as an Advisor since 2013, and joined on a full time basis as the Chief Operating Officer, starting January 2015.
Prior, Ronnie found and ran PromoAid, a database resource for marketers, agencies and suppliers. He built this from concept (literally from a sketch on a napkin) to a profitable company. Before PromoAid, Ronnie was Senior Vice President at Upromise, a loyalty based promotion company. While there, he reestablished the CPG/Grocery division in the market-place, setting the stage for the company’s successful entry into digital coupons. Prior to working at Upromise, Ronnie ran successful sales departments - first for an Internet start-up company called SalesHound.com (now ShopLocal) where he played a vital role in formulating the go-to-market sales strategy, and then for Publications International, a well-established publishing company, where he developed a revenue producing business model by incorporating "branded" content and advertising into the company's recipe magazines.
He also spent 13 years in the marketing services industry with two major marketing companies: Catalina Marketing and ActMedia, Inc. (News America Corp.) Throughout the U.S. and Canada, Ronnie handled sales management and program development for these marketing powerhouses. He earned numerous awards at both companies, not only for his top revenue-producing sales and marketing teams, but also for his countless individual sales accomplishments. During his tenure, Ronnie was especially revered for managing two top 5 clients for Catalina Marketing and the launch of the Instant Coupon Machine, while at ActMedia. Ronnie’s distinguished career started with a sales position at Glaxo Smith-Kline, where he was promoted three times in less than five years.
In each of his professional positions, Ronnie has been responsible for recruiting, hiring, evaluating and developing talent within his organizations. He was formally trained in recruiting while with GSK and successfully hired his first direct report at just 24 years of age.
Ronnie received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Marketing, from the University of Kentucky, and also serves on their Alumni Board of Directors. When not recruiting, he is normally at one of his son's sporting events or on the golf course.
